GOTW: Dawgs Visit Fort Mac

The Okotoks Dawgs square off against the Fort McMurray Giants in the Western Canadian Baseball League's Game of the Week.

The 13-2 Dawgs suffered only their second loss of the WCBL season on Wednesday night against the Lethbridge Bulls and will look to get back to their winning ways after they board a bus for a weekend trip to Fort McMurray.

Meanwhile, the Giants split a recent two-game series against the Edmonton Prospects and hope to reach the .500 mark after going 8-11 to start the year.

The Dawgs sit in first place in the WCBL and the West Division, while Fort McMurray is in fourth place, sitting seven games back of Okotoks.

Thursday's Game of the Week action - which gets underway at 7 pm - will open a four-game series between the Dawgs and the Giants at Legacy Dodge Field, with play wrapping up with a Sunday matinee matchup.
