Wild TV Expanding Coverage
The Wild TV Group of Companies, in collaboration with the Western Canadian Baseball League, has announced it is extending its television coverage of the WCBL to include the league’s championship series.
The agreement builds upon the 2024 broadcast schedule that offers viewers the chance to tune in to Canada’s premier summer collegiate baseball league.
"We're excited to partner with the WCBL to bring the league championship series to audiences across RFD TV Canada and Water Television Network, both part of the Wild TV Group of Companies,” said Wild TV Group of Companies Vice-President Scott Stirling.
“This collaboration ensures that baseball fans can discover the thrill of the championship through our extensive broadcast reach. Our commitment to delivering WCBL’s popular coverage aligns perfectly with the WCBL's dedication to growing its fan base. We're proud to be part of the platform offerings that bring this captivating sports series to an even wider audience. We wish the best of luck to both finalists!"
Mark Stiles, the Managing Director of Corporate Partnerships and Marketing for the WCBL, was also enthusiastic about the move to cover the three-game series between the top team from the West Division and the best squad from the East Division, which takes place from Aug. 15-17.
“This will extend our relationship with the Wild TV network into the final,” said Stiles.
“Additionally, every game will be streamed live on HomeTeam Live. We're committed to providing our growing fan base with multiple options to catch all the championship series action. A big thank you to all our broadcast partners for making this possible!”
Wild TV provided 2024 WCBL Game of the Week coverage with a weekly Thursday broadcast that started on May 30th and included bonus broadcasts of special games, such as Canada Day matchups and the 2024 WCBL All-Star Game & Home Run Derby festivities.
