The Edmonton Baseball Team - formerly known as the Edmonton Prospects - is inviting you to help them come up with a new name.

The Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) metro Edmonton franchise is excited to introduce summer collegiate baseball to the Myshak Metro Ballpark in Spruce Grove with a new name and brand for the 2025 season. As the club celebrates the arrival of this new era, the WCBL stands as a key player development league and a leader in baseball innovation.

To mark this milestone, you are invited to help shape the team’s identity. Fans are encouraged to submit their ideas for the new team’s name, along with a rationale explaining the significance of the name. Nominations will be open from Nov. 19th through Dec. 3rd of 2024.

A shortlist of the top names will be announced afterward the contest closes, and fans will have the opportunity to vote for their favourite.

The name entries that make the shortlist will be awarded newly-branded team merchandise and ticketing prizes! Also, one random entry will win a pair of season tickets for the inaugural season in Spruce Grove.
