WCBL Ignites New Partnership

The Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) is fired up about entering into a formal partnership with Igniter, a premier provider of sports ticketing solutions.

ABOUT THE WESTERN CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE (WCBL)

The WCBL is Canada's premier summer collegiate baseball league and it boasts a long-standing tradition of creating a showcase for top Canadian prospects, while at the same time offering American college players the opportunity to hone their skills in front of enthusiastic baseball fans in towns and cities throuhgout Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The wood-bat league consists of 12 Western Canadian teams. The Okotoks Dawgs are the defending WCBL champions, coming off three straight titles from 2022 through 2024.

The WCBL expereienced record-breaking attendance in 2024, with 417,558 fans attending 345 regular-season and playoff games, as well as the All-Star Game and Home Run Derby festivities.

WCBL rosters include elite college players from across North America and league alumni have gone on to play in Major League Baseball (MLB) and in other professional baseball leagues.
