Dale Earns AB Player of Week Nod

He's an RBI machine and a hitter that can make the best pitchers uncomfortable.

Slugger Blake Dale of the Medicine Hat Mavericks has been selected as the Village Brewery Alberta Player of the Week for the games between Monday, June 15th and Sunday, June 21st.

In that time, Dale amassed 11 runs, three round trippers, seven runs batted in and three stolen bases.

The Riverton, Wyoming infielder is in his third season with the Mavericks.

So far in the WCBL this year, Dale is batting .297 and can be found among the league leaders in hits (30), doubles (11), home runs (5), RBI (25) and at bats (101).

Also earning consideration for Village Brewery Alberta Player of the Week honours were Connor Crowson, a consistent bat in the Okotoks Dawgs lineup, and hard-hitting catcher Nick Sauve of the Fort McMurray Giants.
