He was a slam dunk for the honour.

Third baseman Brady Bye - who hit a walk-off grand slam for the Regina Red Sox on Canada Day against the Swift Current 57's - is the SaskTel Saskatchewan Player of the Week for the period from Monday, June 29th through Sunday, July 5th.

During that time, the Regina native picked up 12 hits, 11 runs, 12 RBI, three home runs and two stolen bases. 

For the season, the Point University student is among the league leaders in hits (39), homers (9) and RBI (39).

This is the second SaskTel Saskatchewan Player of the Week honour that Bye has received. He was also recognized for his efforts during the Opening Week of the WCBL season. 

Other players considered for the award include hard-hitting Hudson Unger of the Swift Current 57's, Garryn Plummer of the Moose Jaw Miller Express and outfielder Ethan Murdoch of the Saskatoon Berries.
