Westin Walls has done it all on the mound for the Moose Jaw Miller Express this year.

The 6-foot-5 righthander from Texas has been at the top of the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) pitching leader boards all summer, going 6-1 with a 4.04 earned run average (ERA) and 92 strikeouts over 82.1 innings. The K total established a new single-season strikeout record, with Walls overtaking the 91 punchouts that Josh Tucker racked up with the Sylvan Lake Gulls in 2022.

In his final two starts, Walls tossed 177 pitches and piled up 15 strikeouts in 8.2 innings for the Millers.

Walls is in his third season with Moose Jaw, where he has assembled a career regular-season record of 12-7 while registering 205 strikeouts and four saves.

This is the second SaskTel Saskatchewan Player of the Week honour for Walls in 2026. He beat out teammate Thomas Soto, who recently set single-season WCBL highs in stolen bases and runs.
