Used Equipment Drive

Dust off your old ball glove and pick up those bats, hockey sticks, skates and that bag of baseballs or pucks you’re not using anymore to donate them to someone who will!

The Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) and BrokerLink Insurance are teaming up to collect gently used sports gear, which they will donate to those families and children in our communities who will use them to make their athletic dreams come true.

Both organizations believe that every player deserves the opportunity to participate in sports and the cost of athletic equipment should not be a barrier.

“At BrokerLink, we’re here to help people,” says Grant Clarke, Vice President, Western Canada.

“All our employees live and work in the communities we serve, and we believe that having access to local activities that promote fitness and inclusion contribute to improved health and well-being, which can lead to brighter futures for our young people.”

You may bring your used equipment donations to the following home games for WCBL teams across Alberta:

  • Lethbridge Bulls: July 25th

  • Medicine Hat Mavericks: July 25th

  • Okotoks Dawgs: July 25th

  • Sylvan Lake Gulls: July 27th

  • Brooks Bombers: July 29th

  • Fort McMurray Giants: July 30th

  • Energy City Cactus Rats: Aug. 4th

“The Western Canadian Baseball League is excited to partner with BrokerLink in these communities to help young people have fun and follow their sporting pursuits to the fullest. Giving families and children improved access to the sports they love is important to our league and our teams,” says Mark Stiles, the Managing Director of Corporate Partnerships for the WCBL.

“This initiative is a win-win,” says Clarke. “It’s a great feeling to contribute to your local community, and your generosity creates opportunities to make a difference in a child’s future.”
