Opening the Vault with Sentinel Storage

The Western Canadian Baseball League is locked in with Sentinel Storage.

Western Canada’s storage leader has secured a sponsorship agreement with the WCBL that recognizes Sentinel Storage as the “Official Partner of WCBL Alumni” and a supporter of our league-wide used equipment drive this season.

“We are excited to partner with Sentinel Storage to shine a light on our amazing alumni, former WCBL talents who have moved on to do great things in both baseball and in life,” said the league’s director of corporate sponsorships, Noah Rolheiser.

“In addition, we look forward to hosting used equipment drives in WCBL communities. This program will support grassroots baseball, participation in sport and strong community engagement.”

The WCBL equipment drive aligns perfectly with the values of Sentinel Storage, according to its National Director, Corporate Partnerships and Media, Celeste Blackmore.

“We pride ourselves on supporting sports in Western Canada from the grassroots to the biggest stages, and the WCBL’s efforts to get equipment into the hands of those who need it most speaks directly to that.

“It will give kids a chance to play and to learn all the valuable lessons that participating in sports gives them.”

The WCBL will soon launch a series of “From the Vault” profile stories that will appear on the league website and social media channels. These feature articles will provide an update on what achievements have been accomplished by former WCBL stars, many of whom went on to play professionally and are still impressing in Major League Baseball (MLB).

The used equipment drives in Alberta and Saskatchewan are set for home games with the following teams:

  • Okotoks Dawgs … Tuesday, June 9th
  • Sylvan Lake Gulls … Tuesday, June 30th
  • Fort McMurray Giants … Friday, July 10th
  • Lethbridge Bulls … Saturday, July 11th
  • Saskatoon Berries … Sunday, July 12th
  • Moose Jaw Miller Express … Friday, July 17th
  • Regina Red Sox … Friday, July 31st

Please check with your local team for more details about specific sports equipment needs in the area and consider donating gently used gear.

ABOUT THE WESTERN CANADIAN BASEBALL LEAGUE (WCBL)

The WCBL is Canada’s premier summer collegiate baseball league. The 12-team WCBL boasts a long-standing tradition of creating a showcase for top Canadian prospects, while at the same time offering American college players the opportunity to hone their skills in front of enthusiastic baseball fans in towns and cities throughout Alberta and Saskatchewan.

The wood-bat league consists of two divisions, an all-Alberta West Division and an East Division comprised of five Saskatchewan squads and a franchise from Alberta.

WCBL rosters include elite college players from across North America and league alumni have gone on to play in Major League Baseball (MLB), at the World Baseball Classic (WBC) and in other professional baseball leagues.

All-Star Weekend takes place in Saskatoon this year, where the Berries will play host to the top players from around the WCBL on Saturday, July 18th and Sunday, July 19th.

The Regina Red Sox are the defending WCBL champions, coming off a thrilling three-game series victory over the Sylvan Lake Gulls in 2025.
