The Brooks Bombers are trying to make a late-season push for the postseason.

Hard-hitting Erick Ballenilla is here for it and is helping to pace the Bomb Squad offence at Elks Field.

The right-handed infielder from the Bronx, a student at St. Thomas University in Florida, has been full value for the Bombers.

In six games from Monday, July 20th through Sunday, July 26th, Ballenilla registered 10 hits, eight runs, seven runs batted in (RBI) and two home runs. 

As a result, he has been selected as the Village Brewery Alberta Player of the Week in the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL).

Also in the running for the honour were a pair of Okotoks Dawgs hitters, Aidan Dougherty and Jordan Kievman, as well as Elijha Hammill of the Sylvan Lake Gulls.
