Viterra Kids Camps Develop Grassroots Baseball

Viterra Canada and the Western Canadian Baseball League (WCBL) are teaming up for a second straight summer to deliver Viterra Kids Camps to communities across Saskatchewan and Alberta.

The camps are an excellent way to develop grassroots baseball through team-building exercises, mentoring and the fostering of skill development. The instructional events connect the most talented players in the WCBL with youth baseball players for an afternoon of baseball learning and fun.

Based on last years success, our players and coaches are excited to roll this out again this summer, said Mark Stiles, the WCBL Managing Director of Corporate Partnerships Marketing.

"We wish to thank Viterra for their continued support and we expect the number of kids in attendance to grow substantially this summer. Its a super fun day for each participant, followed by a top-notch WCBL game".

More than 620 children participated in the 2023 Viterra Kids Camps and more than 1,000 are expected to sign up this year.

"Supporting youth sports and recreation is a key pillar of our community investment approach, and were pleased to be partnering with the WCBL to help them develop quality youth baseball programing in Western Canada", said Kyle Jeworski, CEO of Viterra Canada.

"We're excited to see that the Viterra Kids Camps continue to grow and will provide mentoring and skills development for even more participants this year".
